Guitar Pickups

When I started Vlahopol Guitars i was really thinking and asking myself:

– What is the point of making a cool guitar IF i have to put regular pickups that everyone has access to the same model, same sound?

– What is the difference between my guitars and other guitars IF we ALL use the same pickups and therefore very similar sounds?

– DO I want to sound like everybody or sound like somebody?

– I want to create a cool, unique, modern or vintage sound, different to any other brands.

 

 6 Strings Guitars

Having that in mind i have first developed 8 different models of pickups for 6 Strings Guitars.

a. – Bridge pickups

Shark Attack – 25 Kohms – Ceramic magnet

Grey Shark – 17.5 Kohms – Alnico 5 magnet

Shark Bite – 14.5 Kohms – Ceramic magnet

b. – Neck pickups

Zebra Shark – 8.5 Kohms – Alnico 5 magnet

Blue Shark – 13.5 Kohms – Ceramic magnet

Big Shark – 15 Kohms – Alnico 3 magnet

c. – Middle pickups

Great White Shark I – middle or all positions – 8.5 Kohms – Alnico 5 magnet

Great White Shark II – – middle or all positions – 11.5 Kohms – Alnico 2 magnets

 

7 Strings Guitars
After a few months I wanted to make a 7 Strings Vlahopol guitar so we made 7 Strings pickup versions of the above models…
